Biological Purification Systems

Biological treatment systems are systems that purify wastewater using natural biological processes to remove organic pollutants. In these systems, the natural activities of microorganisms (such as bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoa) clean the wastewater by breaking down and decomposing organic substances. This process can be accomplished through biological treatment ponds, filtration units and other specialized biological reactors.
